Visitor Analytics Privacy
We measure audience activity using a random identifier stored in your browser. Visible pages send an activity update about every 30 seconds. The owner can see estimated unique browser counts and approximate city, region and country supplied by hosting network metadata or IP geolocation. When hosting metadata is missing, we use FreeIPAPI over HTTPS to estimate the location of the network IP address. If the host hides the visitor IP, your browser may contact FreeIPAPI directly. This shares your IP address with FreeIPAPI, which processes it under its own privacy policy. We send no names, email addresses or page history with the lookup. We keep only the coarse location result.
Our analytics records do not store IP addresses, precise coordinates, names, email addresses or browsing histories. We retain daily activity records for a rolling window of about 31 days and display a maximum 30 day reporting period. Older records are removed during routine activity cleanup. Analytics are restricted to the site owner.
We skip analytics when your browser sends Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control. You can also stop measurement for this browser below. This preference does not affect access to the guide.
